Ivanishvili's wealth in last year's similar list was estimated at USD ۵.۵ billion.

Ivanishvili, who is now French citizen awaiting a response from the authorities on his request to regain his Georgian citizenship, is the sixth richest person in France, according to Forbes, which also runs a lengthy article about the billionaire-turned-politician.

This year's list in the magazine's ۲۵th annual issue on the world's wealthiest people, released on March ۷, includes a record ۱,۲۲۶ entrants.
